Subject: Fair Trade
Dear Sir
and Madam,
Introduction
The purpose
of this report is to examine the benefits and challenges of introducing
fair-trade products to the market. Specifically, I will explore the extent to which customers are influenced by fair-trade labels when making purchasing decisions.
Fair Trade: Benefits
Fair-trade
products offer a number of advantages. Firstly, they contribute to
environmental protection and improve the company's image. Secondly, fair-trade supports small farmers by helping them to improve their living and working conditions. Furthermore, fair-trade ensures that raw resources are free
from chemical materials. Lastly, fair-trade labels can increase sales as more and more people are becoming conscious of the products they buy.
Analysis of the results
A recent consumer trends journal revealed that fair-trade labels influence more than half of Canadian customers’ purchasing decisions, and approximately half of Chinese and Swedish customers’ decisions. It is noteworthy, however, that most respondents from France and the United States did not consider the fair-trade label important. For Japanese, Russian, and Indian customers, the impact of the label was moderate, suggesting that it is not the primary factor in their product selection.
Challenges
Introducing
fair-trade products poses some challenges. For example, it may increase the
product price, as producing our convenience food with fair-trade ingredients
could be more expensive. Additionally, there may be a limited number of
suppliers offering fair-trade ingredients in some areas.
Conclusion
In conclusion, while there are challenges associated with introducing fair-trade products, the benefits are undeniable. I recommend the introduction of fair-trade products, as they promote sustainable business practices and contribute to improving the lives of farmers.
